Sourced from one of the highest vineyards in the Piccaddilly Valley in the Adelaide Hills, along with 2 barrels from Oakbank.

Straw colour with yellow notes.

A perfumed chardonnay with stone fruits, melon and whipped cream notes. A hint of quality oak in the background.

The palate is medium bodied with excellent balance between fruit, acid and oak. Its silky texture combines with white nectarine notes, some honied melon and fine whipped cream. The finish is dry and lingering with beautiful minerality and a hint of roasted nuts.

Will reward cellaring for 5-7 years or more.

2018 Vintage Notes:
A warm dry vintage, which produced low yields. The quality of the Chardonnay fruit was very good, producing fruit which was concentrated, yet still retained it's vibrancy.

Winemakers Notes:
Production 2400 bottles.

The hand picked fruit was partially whole bunch pressed before being transferred to French oak barrels (of which 10% were new) for natural fermenation. This year, some of the barrels underwent malolactc fermentation. The wine spent 10 months in French oak 300ltr hogsheads, before under going barrel selection and blending.
